My score to Harvey Greenfield is Running Late was nominated in the CRAFT - Best Sound category at the 2024 Royal Television Society Awards. The awards ceremony was held in the historic dining hall @ Gonville & Caius, Cambridge University on June 21st.
Bad Habit Screening
June '24
Peterhouse College - the oldest in Cambridge university - hosted a screening of Bad Habit, a wonderful short which I scored. This was followed by a Q&A hosted by (L-R actress Fiona Popplewell, co-directors Jake Thakur & Mercy Brewer, me, DOP Miolin Liu).
A comedy set in a medieval convent doesn't have an obvious musical reference point. This gave me a broad canvas to play with. I wrote a tongue in cheek score using instruments available at the time : a soprano singer I turned into a choir with rhythm using acoustic percussion and sounds made with my mouth and body! In theory this was a good idea but didn't have quite enough scope so added live violin and a synth.

Sacha Bennett's wonderful retelling of Shakespeare's romantic comedy starring Robert Lindsay, Juliet Aubrey, Tamzin Merchant, Tyger Drew-Honey, Florence Kasumba, Holly Earl and Lee Boardman.

January saw the release of 'Tell No Lies', a dramatic thriller I co-scored. Directed by Dylan Vox and produced by MarVista Entertainment in conjunction with Benattar/Thomas Productions & Three Wise Monkeys and released on Tubi. An electronic score laced with distorted percussion and screeching strings.
