Mixing in the Hills!

Jon, Tom & I spent a week high up in the remote hills of West Wales mixing “Cannon Fodder”, the new title for Sensible Band’s first studio album. 

The studio is a synthesizer lover's heaven, a myriad of authentic vintage rare keyboards owned by an artist known as ThighpaulSandra, record producer and keyboard player for bands including Hawkwind and Coil. 

A complicated project mixing band recordings from two weeks of recording at Rockfield Studios - vocals, drums, multiple guitarists, bass and my contribution - piano, organ and rhodes - with live strings and brass I produced in studios in Prague and London.

Sensible Band was created by games industry legend Jon Hare initially to perform songs he’s written for games. Cannon Fodder is the first in a trilogy of planned albums.
